@The Doctor You do NOT have to re-buy any STEAM game (that I know of as of today's date), because you deleted it off the local computer (exception: games with limited activation times/amounts, you need to run the 'revoke license' program such as Securom or other DRM on GTAV 1st - though this game does not limit the amount of times you download and install it). One of the mods that does this PHYSICS ERROR thing is the Grand Square Marshal station wagon (more variants may do this, I don't know). Other car megamods (mega-config packs etc) might not work properly, cars may not shift into gear, etc. Try changing the transmission if they don't drive but the engine revs. Similarly though if the engine doesn't work, change the engine for something else. These 'parts and customization' features are accessed by CTRL+W and digging about in the 1st tab. If you have a lot of mods - and a cutting edge 1gbs SSD in a cutting-edge 4.x ghz i7 PC, with lots of RAM in the system and a rockin' video card, this game may seem like it REFUSES TO START IN SAFE MODE. Oh, it'll start - 510 minutes later. Go browse the net or something while it does this. I did report this via the website but this still might be the case UNLESS it was fixed in 8.0. Please take the time (everyone) to browse to your favorite mod's page (or to all the ones you use), and see if there is any updates over the next few days. Cars may break in all sorts of ways, the schoolbus being super slow, the sonoma D15 transmission not working, gavril grand SQUARE marshall causing a physics crash, v12 sports car with no engine, etc.
This stuff happens, this is pre-release, and the game is ever-changing to become better, and more feature rich. This is the price we pay for progress.
This is modding. Mod compatability is not a promise, it's a blessing. Some days you have it some days you don't. I love mods as much as everyone else, but, find out what works, find out what doesn't. Generally if a mod blows out the game, you'll find out on the beam website within a day or two - someone will report it.
